Olga Masleinnikova movement artist - director - writer - facilitator
Thank you for visiting my website.
I am a dance-theatre-movement director, choreologist, choreographer, teacher, creativity coach and writer. My practice and methodology 'The Shifting Process' combines Laban's contemporary developments for performing arts, psychophysical practices and my research around body energetics.

I explore the state of transformation and its manifestations within the human psyche, personality and behaviour. My performances are interdisciplinary metaphors of change; mutation of some form, the 'in between' states and generally include elements of supernatural, family relationships and questions of identity. They are visually driven and conceptually layered. I am also a teacher, an artist coach and energy therapist. I love inventing combinations and devising methodologies. Within that frame I have been exploring the notions of intuition, energy management and psychophysical development of the artist within training and creative process.
I have graduated with a MA in Theatre Directing from INSAS in Brussels and specialised in Choreological Studies (Contemporary Developments in Laban's Principles and Practice for Performing Arts) and contemporary dance at Trinity Laban in London, receiving a Simone Michelle Awards for choreographic excellence. In 2010 I continued my research in performance making at Goldsmiths University. My choreographic, performance and collaborative works have been shown in venues in London, Ghent, Malmo, Dublin, Paris, Chur, Berlin and Reykjavik. Besides I regularly work on films as movement director or acting coach.
Credits include Royal Academy of Music, English National Opera for Opera Works, Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance, Middlesex University, FOCAL Switzerland, JSBC Television China, Cambridge University, Giles Foreman Acting Centre, Kingston University, East 15 Acting School, Oxford School of Drama, Bird College of Performing Arts, HZT - University of the Arts of Berlin, Le Grand Conservatoire d'Avignon, Dance East, Rose Bruford College and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Additionally I have developed Artistic Development Coaching Programme called 'Movement Toolbox' in London, Brussels and Munich and coach companies, directors, actors and filmmakers and deliver numerous workshops internationally.
Recently my chapter ‘The Instrumental Body’ was published in ‘The Body and Awareness’ (edited by S. Reeve, Triarchy Press, 2021). in September 2022 I was awarded with an Honorary Associate of Royal Academy of Music for a significant contribution for my delivery of Movement for Actors in the Musical Theatre Department.
